Bargain and sale by Thomas Cackamoll of Pulham (Norfolk), singleman, eldest son and heir of Susan Cackamoll, deceased, to Ralph Ellis of Topcrofte (Norfolk), singleman, for £15.10.0 of the south part of a messuage and land, etc., called Hempsted, with land adjoining, containing 1/2 acres now or late in the occupation of Isabel Martyn, widow, and anciently called Ruddyes, lying in Mendham (Norfolk) [sic], bounded by the common way leading from the town of Harleston to Shotfurthbridge to the west; the land sometime of Steven Baxter, gentleman, called Hempstead alias Hempsteads to the east; abutting on the said close called Hempsteads to the south; and the land formerly of Steven Baxter called Seymers to the north. Livery of seisin on dorse.
